Tho Exhibition authorities were amazed when they counted the attendance on Boxing Day to find that the total was 42.250. only about 20011 short of the phenomenal record on opening day, which if was never expected wold be approached again. There was a steady stream of visitors all day and early in the evening a big invasion began. Tram followed behind train
and bus behind bus each packed to the limit, and thousands moro made for the great carnival on foot or in private cars. By eight o’clock a tremendous crowd bad distributed themselves according to their fancy. An audience of thousands listened to the evening programme by the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders' Band, clamouring their appreciation, while the courts had more visitors than ever before. Yet tho Amusement Park was packed with thousands more. who poured round every device and side show, eagerly waiting their turn on tho scenic railway, or the whip, or sonic oilier of tho park's numerous sensations. it was a sight that those who saw it will never forget. The spirit of carnival was let loose in a wonderful playground. A halter skelter which was started running on Saturday was rushed hv crowds. It is now hard to think of* any device which is not in the Exhibition Amusement- Park.
