SECOND DAY’S RESULTS
The weather for the second day yesterday was line and sunny, until four o’clock when a heavy shower passed over the course, to be soon followed hv sunshine for the remainder of the afternoon. the course was in capital order, but the attendance was considerably below Saturday's. The racing was interestin'? though the fields several races were not its largo as •mild be wished for, the sera tellings reducing the holds in the Thompson ,i,d Jubilee Handicap to three. The horses were sent it way promptly, and the larger the fields the better were the ■ tarts. The various officials wore again at their posts and the meeting passed JV without -a hitch. Ihe Stewaids tore called together on two occasions, i protoi, against the trainer in the Welter Wieghl being dismissed. Probate got the host of the start, the favourite Equerry losing several lengths. At the hack Prince Charleroi took charge and won by four lengths. Equerry three length l further hack. Time 1.31 -1-5. Passing the stand the second time Blazes was in the lead with Cushman and Ten torliehl next. The field kept close together and the three placed horses jumped the lust hurdle almost in line, and a fine finish saw Tenterfield win by a head, wi!h Cushman a head away third.
