MOSUL AND IRAQ
MOSUL DECISION. TURKISH PRESS VIEM'S. L‘‘ The Times ” Service.] (Received this day at 10.25 a.m.) LONDON, December 27. The ” Times ” Constantinople correspondent says the League’s Afosul decision continues to pre-ocoupy the Turkish press, which is deceived by Mr Baldwin’s profession of frieiidy feeling. The paper demands acts, not promises and declares until Turkey’s right to -Mosul is satisfied all promises and consolations will lie regarded a simply irony. It still believes a large minority. if net an actual majority of the people disapprove of the Government's policy hut the Turks are wisely not putting too much faith in the fall of the Baldwin Cabinet, and. therefore, are daily congratulating themselves on tho Russian Treaty, which is described as the first step to Turkey’s preparations and a. guarantee of her security.
