The Hokitika Bowling Club will hold a progressive pairs tournament on Christmas Day. All players intending to take part should be on the green at 9.30 o’clock, when the draw will he made. play commencing at 9.45 Two games: will be played in the morning. and an adjournment made from 12 till 2 p.m., three games being played ill the afternoon.

A feature of the test, match was the line leading of local men. all lour playing good games. The British leads were not up to the same standard. The local Number Twos were also superior, but more even play was seen between the Number Three men and the skips. MaeDougnll played the finest skip game for the British team.
