Referring to the matter the “Lyttelton Times" said : “A proposition is on foot to arrange for a party representing the Canterbury Progress League to visit South Westland early next year, gniii ii via the southern lakes distri-ts. In this eoimeelinn Dr E. Teiehelinann. of Hokitika visited Christehnreh. and he left for Wellington on Friday night. His mission is to endeavour to arrange with the Government to carry the party on the Tutnnokai when that vessel makes her annual tour at the end of January or the beginning of February. This would he a good business proposition from the Government’s point of view. The party will inspect the scenic resorts and collect inforauntion regard ini road development and other matters.
