An inquest was held this morning :tt the Maoist rate's Court hr tore M r D. -I. Evans. Coroner, touching a fire which oeenrred on Hail Hau hill on dOth nit., "hen an unoccupied house, owned by Thus. Robinson jnr., and insured for CIOO was destroyed by lire. Evidence was given by .Messrs Thus. Robinson. T. .Marks, -I. I). .McQuilkin. 11. Dunn. G. Williams and Constable I Rest. Inspector Cedes conducted the case for the police, liy leave Mr .1. A. Murdoch appeared for the owner of the premises. After hearing the evidence the Coroner found that the residence I was destroyed by fire on the morning of the .‘lOtli ult. but there was no evi-I deuce (o show how the lire originated.
