THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL
OFFICIAL VISIT TO HOKITIKA
His Excellency the Governor-Gen-eral. Sir Charles Fcrgusson, accompanied by Lady Fcrgusson and party left Greymoutli by train this morning for Hokitika. On arrival at Sea View station the party left the train. Victors were awaiting and a visit was paid to Westland Hospital.
On leaving Westland Hospital, the party motored to Hokitika to the front of the Free Public Library, whefo the official welcome took place. The Mayor had requested the business people to close for the occasion and there was a large assemblage present. The Territorials and Cadets paraded and supplied a guard of honour, while tho Municipal Baud was also present. The school children under their teachers were also present in good numbers. THE ADDRESS.
