ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. BEEF AX'D MFTTOX DELUXE. BAKf.'E VARDIXD OF LAMB. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs H. Matson and Co., report as follows rogaiding their stock sola at Addington yards yesterday: A small yarding, principally (. luul.ams and Marlborough sheep, the hitter mostly representing forward sales ami vendors must have lost eonsider:i!,!v on these speculations. Xo owes and lambs were entered. The market was very dull and slowed a drop of about Is all round on last wee!:. Inless wo get some rain the prospects are any tiling hut bright and what looks a poor sale to-day will probably prove a good sale a month hence, Rest forward wethers nvido 21s to 2'Js lid, medium 2As to 21s (id. two and four tooth ditto 22s jo 2As lOd. inferior to 18s. .'store Cattle.- A fair entry ami the demand was not nearly so keen. Onlyodd and nondescript lots were entered and very few quotable entile were offered.

Kill Pii^s. — A good entry of porkers find a better sale than hist >v«K-k. Light porkers made -ISs to nos, heavy tills to tJSs, average Sd to S’d. Pat Cattle.—Another very largo yarding. comprising .325 head. The quality was very irregular and a la rye proposition of old cows were yarded. Although prices were easier by about 2('s per head till round, considering the larjie yarding of lambs the sale must lie considered a really good one. It is marvellous where it all goes to. West Coast and country butchers helped to keep things going. Prime steers made Clo to Cl>t JOs, extra to C2O 2s fid.

Mutton.—A medium yarding; mostly of wethers, and, generally, very good quality. Butchers are evidently not too keen on mutton at this period' and as lamb is considerably cheaper to the public this season than for some lew years the trade, is pushing lamb to the detriment of mutton. The large yard ing of heel also must effect the mutton market. Brices all round to-day were about Is below last week. Fat Lambs. A very large entry, about. 2.000. The sale was good throughout; in fact, despite the large yarding, tile sale closed firmer than it opened. There was practically no quotable difference from last week. The over-all price was fid to !)Jd.
