Downie Stewart is to lav before Cabinet a request for a grant to assist in billeting children during the three days' visit which the party will make. The children, who will always he under the charge ol teachers, will he billeted in the various gymnasiums and halls ni the city. I hey will he provided with breakfast and a light supper at the billets, dinner and ten being arranged for at the Exhibition. Medical inspection and attention will he also arranged for. The" School Committees’ Association is organising special committees to take a personal interest, in the welfare of visiting boys and girls. Special concessions have been arranged with the railways and shipping companies, and the expenses ut' Hie trip will he made as light as possible for each childfl A display of physical drill by 3,W0 pupils front city schools was a great success yesterday. The children marched from lour groups into a St. Andrew's Cross and then into a St. George Cross, opening out into an immense class lor physical drill. High school hoys followed with clever gymnastic and aeroliuLtie displays. As a final. 1(10 bo vs formed living pyramids remaining motionless until the order to break up was given.
