Speaking at Acton A'ale, in Quebec, Air Meighau, Leader of the Opposition, declared that as soon as the Conservative Party attained power, a tariff would be imposed on the American imports to Canada that would be as high as tho present American tariff against Canadian goods. The Conservative Leader added that, so long as he (Air Afeighan) might hold office, no troops would ever he sent out of Canada before Parliament and the people of the Dominion had been consulted.

The Roumanian Debt Commission has accepted the American offer for the funding of its debt to America, and terms have been submitted for President Ooolidge’s approval. Tt i.s indicated that they are along the general lines of the British settlement, except that slightly easier payments are sot for the onrlv years.
