It is recorded that the late Eugene Sandow never used his enormous strength in a personal combat unless it was unavoidable. Apropos ol this Air Ziegfold. who introduced Sandow to the .American public, leils an interesting story. Soon alter Sandow s marriage he and Airs Sandow wore supping with AH' Ziegfold in the Cafe Alariin in New York. One of a group of men at the next table kept ogling at Airs Sandow. Air Ziegfold said. ‘‘Don’t do that !“ The man. who appeared to have been drinking, replied: ‘‘ I’m satisfied with what I am looking at.” Sandow walked over and tonic him by the neck.
