EVERYBODYS PICTURES. “SLXXERS IN HEAVEN.” MONDAY. Kobe Daniels was her own modiste for one of the South Sea Island costumes she wears in her latest Paramount picture, “Sinners in Heaven.” In came about quite by accident, but it is merely another proof of the versatility of this vivacious film star. Alan (.'rosland, the director, took the entire company making this picture to the Bahama Mauds where exterior scenes lor the photoplay were “shot. \\ hen Belie reached the sandy .stretch of I,each where the outdoor scenes wore to he made, she discovered that the handsome piece of tapis cloth, which she bought at a fashionable Fifth Avenue shop was not entirely conducive to solid comfort, so she diearded it and designed a costume of Palmetto bark. The entire costume consisting of a skirt and jacket, was made of dry hark, which is about tbo texture of heavy satin and was sowed together with thread from palm leaves. “T just wanted to prove that all that has keen written about living on a desert island without the implements of civilisation was not hunk.” explained Miss Daniels. "Richard Dix, who is appearing with Miss Daniels in the picture, agreed that the costume was unique, and was entirely appropriate. “Sinners in Heaven” was adapted by James Creolman from the story of the same name by Clive Aron. It deals with the thrilling adventures of a man and girl stranded on a desert island, thousands of miles from civilisation. Besides the two featured players, the cast includes Holmes Herbert. Florence Billings. Montague Rove. Eflie f-'liannon. Betty Hilbtini and Marcia Harris. Film fans will have a
chance to sec this picture when it opens at the Theatre next Monday. Orchestra and usual prices.
