[Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.] INVERCARGILL, November 2-3. The annual cricket fixture between Otago and Southland was commenced at the show grounds to-day. The cold wind bordering at times on a gale, making it difficult for the bowlers and batsmen. Southland made 152 (Least 28, Cook (not out) 25, Greves 29). Otago replied with 110 (Carterell 40).
