Archibald Gray. J 7. Health InI lector for Eltliam district, entered and licking up a hammer hit his son • m the head and then cut his son’s Jiroat with a razor. His screams attracted the neighbours who took the razor from Gray. In a statement, Gray said: “1 have been nervy and not sleeping well lately. T intended to kill the family and then myself.” His wife savs Gray was quite normal lately. Gray was under transfer to Dannevirke in January, lie has boon in Eltliam for fourteen years, and is well known. Gray was later charged with murder anil was remanded to New Plymouth till Dec. Itli. Bail was not isked for.
