[Australia A N. 55. Calilo Association.) THE FRANC. • (Received this day at 10.25 a.nt.) LONDON, November 25. The franc in London this morning is quoted at over 127. FOUR ALTERNATIVES. (Received this day at 10.0 a.m.) PARIS, November 25. Besides the Socialists, a section of the Radicals are opposing M. Counter, whose prospects of forming a Cabinet are less rosy to-day. It is impossible to say how the riddle will he solved. The alternatives include: (1) a Government composed of the Left, Bloc, including the Socialists; (2) a Socialist Government with participation by tlie other groups of the Left Bloc- ; (3) a coalition of the Left with the Centre Parties, but excluding the Socialists and (I) a dissolution and fresh elections. Meanwhile time presses and the franc is still falling. M. Counter outlined to M. Herriot his financial reform programme, which rejects the Socialists’ proposals for a. capital levy and taxation of national bonds.
