It is a snappy, poppy story of the life and loves ot a. hollies favorite played by Hetty Compson. This is the first American picture ol Miss Compson since her return from. England ami sin is .supported in this .fames Cruzo production hy Percy .Marmont, liuntly Cordon and Knthlvn Williams. Janies Craze you will remember is the man who made “The Covered Wagon” and other jtamous Paramount successes. Dodo Maxtor alter a gay time on Broadway toll that in attracting a man hke Judge Mn.ssiugale was a real triumph. He wa.s a man of power and social standing. But then her heart went out to another, who did not care what happened to him. Dodo found real plea sure in trying to save young Carry Linda berry from himself. But which man would she have? That is the climax of the gripping new Paramount Picture. The fine production is recommended by the censor more especially for adult audiences. Prices to-night are as usual. There will he no pictures on Wednesday. On Thursday next Richard Talnradge will lie seen in his latest success “ Fast Company ” and on Friday next Belie Daniels in “Sinners in Heaven.”

It will be with much pleasure that our readers will learn of the return visit of this renowned and talented company, the Princess Theatre being hooked for this Wednesday. 2.5 th Xov. They have only recently arrived back in New Zealand after a phenomenally successful tour through Queensland. Well-remembered in Hokitika, though their visits are few ami far between, the Lynch Family are assured of a hearty welcome. They hold a worldwide reputation of over fifty years standing, as one of the most famous of musical organisations. Their wonderful dexterity on the hells, silver organ chimes and glassophone, has aroused critics to the highest praise in all lands. An excellent concert company also assists, including Mdlle l.e Merchant. (he Parisian dramatic soprano, .Miss Lilian Thomas, charming soubrette. who is making her first appearance here and Air Harry Baxter, the inimitable humorist and character comedian.
