SHIPPING TROUBLE.
[Australia & N.Z. Cable Association.] GESTURE OK DEFIANCE. MELBOURNE, November 17. The strike has taken a fresh lease of life. The engine-room crew of the steamer Northumberland are striking in sympathy with their stranded comrades. The action is regarded as merely a post-election gesture of defiance.
