The leport of the Royal Commissioner in the corn sacks case, in which the Government purchased sacks for wheat farmers’ use, finds no evidence of misconduct cr wrong-doing on the part of any person in count*:tion with the contract. 'l'ho commissioner is satisfied that Hon Mr Dunn acted reasonably in what he did. NEWCASTLE! SENSATION. RACING CAR RUNS INTO CROWD. SYDNEY, November 13. During a motor speedway contest, at Newcastle, a ear left, the track and charged among the spectators at a speed of seventy miles an hour. One man, Charles Syred, was killed, and twenty-five were injured, some seriouslv.

A densely packed crowd was watching when the speedway race accident happened. After leaving the track the ear crashed through the fence and tho crowd, wildly stampeding, got out of control, a number receiving injuries in (lie mad crush and others wore injured by the ear which cut a wide swathe among the people, nine of whom were hospitalled.
