SHIPPING TROUBLE.
Australia & N.Z. Cable Association ! STEAM EPS SAIL. SYDNEY, November IG. Five overseas steamers sailed during the week-end indicating the extent to which the strike is collapsing following the elections. The strike will probably end to-day. One result of the collapse is an acute congestion in Sydney where many companies have so many ships in port that some have to wait for berths.
BRISBANE, November IG. The Barra bool left the wharf to pro•eed to sea but at the last 14 seamen stepped down the mooring ropes to the wharf. Later the men signified their willingness to return and the vessel sailed. MELBOURNE. November IG. The strike funds are exhausted and the men expect to return to work in a few days. Vessels moved freely during the week-end. Many strikers have gone into the country in search of emiiloyinent. MARENO HOLD-UP. WELLINGTON. Nov. IG. The Mnliono is still at the wharf uving to the inability to obtain n crew. Hie departure which was fixed on Saturday for 11 a.m. to-day, is further oustponed till 3 p.tn. to-day.
