ADELAIDE. Nov. 14. The first Sheffield Shield match of the season was played in glorious weather between Victoria, and South Australia. The wicket was good. South Australia opened badly, losing her principal run makers before lunch. South Australia in the first innings made 170 (A. Richardson 23. Ryall 39, A. Richardson 28). A’ietoria in the first innings made 3 for 51 (Afayne 23).
