A Native fishing enthusiast who visited Mayor Island, Hay of Plenty, last week, states that he observed several swordfish. They are in pursuit of trevalli, which are plentiful (states a Taurnnga correspondent of an exchanged. Fishing in the neighbourhood nf the island, the Maori caught 24 hapuka. the largest of which weighed 961 b when dressed. He also secured many schnapper and other fish.
