BRITISH UNEMPLOYED INSURANCE.
LONDON, Nov. 11. The Ministry of Labour has appointed a committee to consider working possible changes in the unemployed insurance scheme.
GERMAN ( ABINET STATEMENT. [ Reuter Telegrams.] (Received this day at 11.25 a.m.) BERLIN. Nov. 12. Cabinet and the Federal Government agreed to the German reply to the note from the Ambassador’s Conference, in regard to disarmament. Goverment assumes the note will finally dispose of the disarmament question, and enable the speedy evacuation Cologne. Government proposes to revise the powers of General von Seeckt, comma tiller of the Reichwcir, fo comply with Allied demands for a reduction of the iiillidier of police, and makes counter proposals in regal'd to the destruction of guns at Koenigsherg, which it is hoped, will he acceptable to the Allies, and denies German sport organisations ever had military inst ructors.
DUBLIN CELEBRATION. (Received this day at 11 25 a.m.) LONDON. November 11. Despite the previous agitation, and threats of the extreme Republicans, on account whereof the civil guards reinforced the police, Armistice Day was celebrated in Dublin tranquilly. A cross to be erected on a French battlefield 'in commemoration of the sixteenth Irish Division, was temporarily placed on St. Stephen’s Green, and was unveiled with a simple, impressive ceremony, including a twominutes' silence, in the presence of an enormous crowd which cheered and waved Union Jacks. After the unveiling, they joined in singing " God Save the King,” started hv ox-service men. .Many wreaths were placed on the cross. Poppies sold readily. Two small smoke bombs exploded harmlessly among the crowd. Maud Gonne .Mcßride, and other lady Republicans were removed from the crowd hv the police for their own protection. They were carrying placards dealing with prisoners in gaol.
