NORTH BROKEN HILL. £888,996 NET PROFIT. MELBOURNE, Nov. 1. In paining a net profit of £888,990 for I lie 12 months ended June 30, the North Broken Hill Ltd. established a record since the inception of the company. The output increased and zinc averaged £36 4s and £34 9s Id per ton respectively, compared with £29 10s 4d ami £32 I.os 3d for the previous period. The value of the mine production amounted to £1,830,727 and receipts from other sources raised the total credit at profit and loss account to £1,930,239.
After providing;-for mine ; expendi•ture, administration and general charges, debenture interest, provision for taxes and royalty, and £50,000 reserve for depreciation, the net profit of £’888,990 showed an increase of £“203,202 over the preceding twelve months, and £001.210 for the year ended June 30. 1923. The result also reveals an excess profit of £188.996 over the issue capital. The profit, together with £201,870 brought forward from the previous day, and £11,890. the unexpended portion ol new plant appropriation but excluding £105.000 required for the payment of a dividend in September of last year, left a total of £1,105-,7-lG in the appropriation account. In dividends £120,000 was absorbed.
