NUMBER OF ABSENTEE VOTES. The n tun her of absent voters’ permits issued under the old system at the General Election in 1022 was 10,707 out of which Hi. 341 votes were exercised. The number of seamen’s rights issued on that occasion was 2(190, arid 1131 were exercised. The total of absentee votes authorised was time 22,-137 while, the total number of votes exercised was 17.322.
