The drought has lieeu completely broken, good rains having fallen, greatly benefiting the northern wheat belt.
TAR BOILER EXPLODES. MELBOURNE, Nov. 9. A terrific explosion demolished the four walls of a- tar distilling plant at the Council’s Gas Works at Heidelheig. Fire followed, but was quickly extinguished. Houses for a considerable distance were severely shaken. The damage amounts to many thousands sterling.
ARMISTICE DAY (Received this day at 10.25 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 9. There were references in all the churches yesterday to the seventt anniversary of Armistice Day. Spec i a l services will be held in many places of worship.
