During the past six months n strange collection of articles has been left by flustered brides and bridegrooms in the London civil and ec rlesinstieal register offices. The list includes: One bowler hat. One pair of women’s shoes. Several fountain pens. An engagement ring. Several pairs of gloves. Sticks and umbrellas. A brooch in a box. The fountain pens can be accounted for. When asked to sign the register the bridegroom often produces his own pen. but he is fold that the office ink which does not fade, must be used and he takes the office pen and frequently, | when handing it over to his bride, for- | gets to pick up his own.
