BISHOP OF CHRISTCHURCH. APPOINTMENT CONFIRMED. The Rev. John Perkins lias received official notice of the appointment of the Right Rev. Campbell West-Watson, D.D.. Bishop Suffragan of Barrow-in-Fnr ness, as Bishop of Christchurch in succession to Bishcp Julius. The. new Bi'-h' o is -18 years of age, married, with two sons and three daughters, and is a brilliant scholar. He is spoken of in excellent terms by Bishop IVhitty and Canon H. B. Stewart. The Archbishop of Canterbury included in his cable advice the words “I congratulate the T.aity.”
