Mr At filterforee. the magistrate, went to St. .Mary’s Hospital and in the presence of Hurman. took a statement from Susans. who said that Hurman stabbed him in the right side. Dr J. Monkhouse. the house surgeon, gave evidence that Susans was not likely to recover. Hurman, who asked no questions, was then taken to prison.
