RECENT STOCK SALES. On Tuesday last at llcrepo, a successful clearing sale of stock, etc., was conducted by .Messrs W. Jeffries and Co on behalf of Messrs Boc.slcr and Mntuxhip. There was a large attendance of buyers from all parts of Westland, the chief interest being centred in the Dairy Stuck which were yarded in excellent condition, and sold well, the top price being 11;J guineas paid for two shorthorn fourth calf cows in profit. The dry stock were also keenly sought for. the three year old heifers making as high as LM Ms. The Clydesdale Stallion was eagerly competed for and reached 109 guineas. Beeler containing 281 acres. I rood. 22 perches, there was restricted competition which reached the sum ol LS Ills per acre hut as this was not up to the owner's value, the property was passed to a llarihari resident, as also was ihe adjoining property ot Air .Mnnsltip. containing 17M acres at L 7 per acre. Both these farms are now being sought for privately, WATAROA SPRING SALE. The Annual Sale of surplus stock in South Westland was held on Wednesday last in ideal weather, there being a very ideal attendance present. The entry which totalled approximately UK) head (with probably two or three pens excepted' was not equal in general all round condition and quality to that of precious veal's. graziers attributing

During the sale the farming property consisting of 2(ili acres at Dry Creek, the property of Messrs O'Neill Bros, was offered to public.' auction hiding reaching C 8 per acre, at which price it was passed in. (For continuance- of news see fourth page.)
