It is a screen version, of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s famous novel, “ Editha’s Burglar,” and reflects the story of a little girl whose mother was an invalid, whose father became a burglar and whose childish mind was at the mercy of a governess whose only knowledge of children existed in the narrow schedule outlined for her by some person obviously childless.
