Messrs 11. Matson and Co., leport as follows regai ding their stock sala at Addington yards yesterday: Store sheep:—A fair sized yarding, but it again comprised mostly of ewes with lambs at foot. Very few dry sheep were yarded and only one or two pens of shorn sheep. The market was very firm and all classes sold well. Best ewes and lambs made 23s to 2Gs lid, all counted, medium 21s to 22s (id, others down to 17s sd, forward wethers GGs Gd to IDs, others down to 31s, best half-bred ewe hoggets to -12 s Gd. others 375, in.s. hoggets 32s IDs, shorn wether hoggets 21s Gd to 24s od. Store cattle:—A large yarding, including one big line oi 2 years to 4 years steers. There was a large attendance and competition was brisk for all classes. One line of big bullocks, although being in hack market condition. hut well bred, made (111 Lis. best bullocks to (11 Ids, medium £8 IDs to £!) Ids. 2 years steers £G Ids to £8 os; best cows' £4 10s to £0 os, others clown to (2 Ids; best empty boilers £4 Ids to £'(! IDs. others to £3 IDs; old cows 30s to £3. Eat pigs:—A medium entry, porkers selling well at late rates. Bat-oners sold slightly better. \ allies: bight porkers 52s to 60s. heavy fids to <d-w average price Od to lOd, light hacmieis £.| 5s to £1 15s. heavy £5 5s to C ; > L’S, extra heavy to £(i IDs. average 8d to Od ; choppers (4 to £7 IDs. Store pigs:—A medium entry and a good demand for all classes. Woaners made 25s to 335, extra to 30s. small stores 35s to 435, medium 45s to 40s, largo 55s to fils, sows in pig to £5 Uis. Mutton:—A fairly short yarding ami shoni sheep were in a muc h larger proportion than recently, 'the quality was generally good, hut the sale very irregular. opening at about last ween s average price, hut eased as the sale progressed till the last rare when things brightened considerably. 20s IDd. Beef:—Only a medium yarding and mostly steers. North Islanders weie hardly so liluc-h in evidence'- as lately, Imt, there were some outstanding lines of local cattle yarded. Tin’ market showed a rise of 25s to 30s per head on last week and this rise was more apparent in heifers and young cows. Prime steers made (21 to £25, extra to £2B 7s (id. medium £l7 15s to £2O pis. others down to £l3 1-is; prime heifers (13 to £l7 ss. extra to £lO 7s (id. others down lo CS 5s ; prime cows £l2 15s to £l3 IDs. extra to £lO 2s Gd. medium cows £lO 5s to £1.3 IDs. lighter £8 5s to (10. olhers down to CO.
