ELECTION CAMPAIGN
.MR SEDDOX IN SOUTH WESTLAND Mr T. E. Y. Seddon’s tour through South Westland indicates that he has lost none of his former popularity. He is being received excellently on all sides. Yesterday he visited Wataron Elat. The Forks, Okarito and Waiho Gorge. He addressed meetings at the two last named places.
Speaking at Okarito he addressed the meeting on general subjects, and also made special reference to local matters, including harbor improvements. A very hearty vote of thank' and confidence "as eamied on the motion of Mr AY. McCluggage and seconded by Mr W. Chatham.
Hi the evening there was a splendid meeting at Waiho Gorge. Mr Peter Graham presided and made a nieciy turned reference to Air Seddon’s past services. The political address delivered Itv Mr Seddou was well received. Mini tlio roforonces to local matters. including tourist work was greatly applauded. At the close of the address a vote of thanks and confidence moved by Mr L. Gibb, and seconded by Mr J. Green, was carried with enthusiasm. A social dance wound up the evening.
