THE RISKS OF INTESTACY. What causes a man to risk his family’s welfare by not making a good will drawn by an export:-' In some cases this neglect is due to a dislike of anything which suggests the inevitable, common end of mankind. In other cases the fault is sheer prosrrastination, the constant deferring of a task which is regarded as difficult. Both, these causes are unworthy of a thoughtful family man; either fault may mar an otherwise good record of citizenship. When a man does not leave a will providing for a wise reliable executor and trustee he practically gives this order; "Divide my estate according to the laws of inheritance. .Make the division on the rigid basis fixed by tbe law to meet the average case." An intestate estate cannot be conserved to the liest advantage of dependants. 71 must be wound up and divided—not as the late owner would have willed, but as the law directs. The State-guaran-teed Public Trust Office is able to show the way to a I letter disposition of the estate by a will prepared by a competent draftsman.
