HOKITIKA CHORAL SOCIETY.
Last night at the Town Hall the Hokitika Choral Society made an appearance which was not welcomed !>v as large an audience as the circumstances warranted. Not only was the occasion a Imm-lit for the Hospital Ouild Fund, hut tile appearance of amateurs is so rare of lute, that the public might, roll up in Inrcc when the opportunity offers to encourage more frequent, appearances of the entertaining parties. Tlu> concert. ton. was worthy of more liberal patronage, and liu.se present enjoyed a pleasant musical evening.

On the whole the Society limited thoiiph it he ill tile male voiles did well, and the music,-it success was to he att rihuted to the cure and direction of the conductor. Mr W. F. Instrumental items hv Mr Oil>hntis (lintc) with Mr Lawn tit the piano, and Mr Christenson (cornet) with Mis Christenson at the piano. ,
