A further telegram addressed to the League from the Bulgarian Government states that the Greeks' combined operations have penetrated Bulgarian territory on a thity-two kilometre front to a depth of ten kiloemtres, and adds: “The Bulgarians’ losses, so far. are three killed, sixofficers and one soldier wounded, and seven missing, while seven residents of the undefended town of IVtritch were ■wounded as the result of an artillery bombardment.”
SOFIA. Oct. 24. A report from Athens, that the finlgars had occupied Greek territory, has been officially denied. The .statement adds: “Not a single Bulgur linn crossed the frontier.” VIENNA. Oct. 21. Bulgaria has appealed to the Allied Military Control Commission to visit the frontier and inspect the damage which heavy artillery has inflicted on I’ctritch. OK KICKS HOLD TKKKITOK V. LONDON, October 2-7. The Greeks continue to hold a long strip of Bulgarian territory for a depth of five miles, stretching from J’etritcti across the Struman Valley towards Xvrokop, and, according to the ‘‘Times” special correspondent on the spot, shells were still falling in Patriarch on Saturday evening. So far the Bulgarians have not resisted the Greeks, hut, the correspondent points out, they, at any moment, might begin to do so in spile of orders to the contrary from Sofia. A GRKICK DKXIAL. LONDON', October 2.1. The Greek Legation denies the Bulgarian statement that -Petritoll was bombarded. It is officially announced that Greek artillery, since the morning, has been bombarding Piperitza and Pctrovo, where several were killed and injured BFLGABIAX OPINION. SOFIA. Oct. 27. Colonel Kalfolf. Foreign .Minister, replying to M. Briands’s telegram states the Bulgarian Minister at Paris will represent Bulgaria at the meeting of the League Council. He expresses the profound gratitude of the Bulgarian Government for the early intervention of the League in the conflict which he declares originated through the Greeks invasion of Bulgaria. He reiterates that Bulgarians have not entered Greece.
