[Router Telegrams.] CANA 1)1 AX FLECTIONS. OTTAWA, October 22. Nominations for the Federal General Flection have closed. 'ldle candidates are officially named in everyone of the 211. ridings. In Ontario Province, there are ISO candidates, contesting eighty-two seats in the House of Commons. In the throe Prairie Provinces, .Manitoba, Sasand Alberta, there are between 150 and lit) nominees for 51 -seats. J Hritish Columbia has produced 35 contestants for fourteen seats. Quebec Province for (in seats has 115' candidates. The maritime provinces, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island, with twenty-nine seats, have 58 candidates. doth the Liberal and Conservative Parties are contesting almost every riding, while there are Progressive Labour and Independent candidates named in a considerable number. The nominees include four women—one in New Brunswick, one in Hritish Columbia, and two in Ontario. One lady is on the Labour ticket, one a Progressive, and two are Independents. Polling takes place on October 29th. YAXCOtTVF.It. October 22. The election nominations total 5-82. The candidates are nominated in all the 241 ridings. The Liberal Party, { headed by Premier King, has 21(5 official nominees. The Conservatives have 239, and the Progressives 69, Labour, including the Farmer-Labour' candidates has 21; and the Independents total 37.
