THE LAW OF THE IRON ROD.
MINISTERS’ PROTEST
Here is an extract from “The Ministers’ Monthly’’ for September, 1923. It will he interesting to see how the professional I’rohibitionist.s try to dam this particular outlet of trutlig—••This paper is unalterably and absolutely opposed to anything that. God in Heaven would call evil. But it lias never been able to make it sol t believe that a drink of good pure claret or a glass of good cool beer were objects ot divine wrath.”
New Zealand should he warned in time. This I’rohibition sham cannot he perpetrated without the help of force. Tactics of the mailed list will always end in self-destruction, whether that list belongs to individual autocrats or to feverish fanatics. The rule ol the rod- or iron will prove fatal to the (canctity of New Zealand’s constitution.—T‘l.
