RICTIA RD .11ARTHELAIESS TO-NIGHT.
Kill ard Earetbelmess’ frequently expressed desire to depict various phases of modern youth on the screen will have new play in his forthcoming ap- ! pearaiice as a AVest Point .Military Cadet in ‘Classmates,” which conics to the Princess Theatre this evening. Tt will he the first time that tho United States .Military Academy has appeared as the background of a film drama, Air Barthelmess having been accorded special permission from tho military officials. Brigadier General Frederick \\ . Sladcn, superintendent of West Point, and Colonel Frank Caldwell, father of Airs Barthelmess (Alary Hay), were classmates at West Point years ago, and General Slacken has been taking unusual interest in the production. “Classmates” was made with the full co-operation of AVest
Point and is authentic to the smallest detail. Richard Barthelmess presents the greatest work of his screen career, a performance that will overtop the strengthen of his mountain boy in “ToPable David,” the lyric poetry of his Yellow Man in “Broken Blossoms,” and liis fine phychological study of a crippled war veteran in “The Enchanted Cottage.” The pic-
ture was produced by John 0. Robertson for Inspiration Pictures, Inc., and affords Dick an exceptionally well balanced cast. As the girl in tho story Aladge Evans, remembered for her original child roles in earlier years, returns to the screen and scores a triumph. Other good acting is presented by Claude Brooke, Charlotte
! Walker. Reginald Walker, Reginald Sheffield and Antrim Short. Further chapters of tho popular “Fight and AVin” series starring Jack Dempsey will also be shown, together with a good comedy. Usual prices will be charged. On AAcdnesday next the great .Scottish story of “Rob Roy” and on Thursday next AVilliam S. Hart in “Singer AfcKec.”
