ALP., add re-set 1 town electors last night, his speech eh icily criticising the Government’s finance and administration, which he described as extravagant. He also strongly critic-sed Labour. A motion of thanks and confidence was carried by a large majority. AUCKLAND, October 15. Mr 11. 0. Browne. Liberal candidate lor Auckland East, in opening Ins speech, said he would vote against the Conservative Party on a rio-ooiifidotu-o motion moved by .Mr Holland or anyone else, lie would support the National Party in respect to all Liberal measures and Liberal public policy. The candidate said he did not ask lot a vote of confidence before the election. The meeting ended with cheers for the Liberal Party. Mr James Stewart, Auckland East, addressed an orderly meeting and declared himself a strong supporter ol Reform. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried. Mr T. Lament. National candidate for Wailemata. had an enthusiastic meeting at Dcvonport, of which borough he is the mayor. He said the difference between Liberalism and Reform was so slight that it meant only dropping overboard a few of the old Tories who hold the money hags of the Reform Party to permit the fusion of the two into one strong progressive whole. A vote of confidence was carried unanimously.

Mr Seddou spent yesterday at, Kaiatu and Omolo. He visited Hie settlers and met the electors at Kaiata last night, receiving a splendid reception, the chair being occupied by Hr J. Blewman. He stoke oil farm interests and criticised Labour's land policy, and on the disabilities of the sawmilling industry. lie was accorded a hearty vote of confidence and thanks, on the motion ol T. I’ring and AN'. Hill. Ml Seildoii visited Dunganville today ami addresses the electors at Kahikatea and Camerons to-night.
