On the other hand, in none of the cities mentioned are bread and (lour dearer than in Wellington. " Milk and bread.” it is stated, "are astonishingly low in London.’' but it is pointed out that as on the date of the compilation of the table from which these observations wore made summer prices for milk wore prevailing in that city, while winter prices were being charged in all the other cities mentioned.
