Messrs M. Houston ami Co report:— Our entry at vosterday’s sale consisted of lid fat sheep and 55 head of fat cattle. Tier.' was a large attendance
of buyers and competition was very keen for all finished lines of cattle, the
market showing an advance on previous sale of 20s to 30s per head. Rest ox and heifer beef realised from 50s to 55s per hundred, aged and inferior cows from -Ills to 455. Eat sheep also sold well. The following were the sales:—On accou.nl of M. Nolan (it) fat wethers at 40s; on account of A. O. Scott Karangarua) 3 bullocks at i.'l7 !2s fid. I heifer and 1 cow at Clti ss, 1 cow at CIS, I heifer and 1 cow at I'll Ids, 3 heifers at CIO 15s. 1 lieilcr springer at Cf! 7s (id; on account of Al. Nolan 2 heifers and 1 cow at C 9 17s (id, 1 steer at Cl ss. 1 at CO 7s (Id, 2 light heifers at C 5 ss; on account- of E. G. Williams and Sons Weheka 5 boilers at C 9 7s (id.
