WASIIINGTON NEGOTI ATIONS. FRENCH PRESS ANNOYED. [Australia A N.Z. Cable Association.] PARIS, October 2. The Press is disappointed at the result of the Washington negotiations. The " Figaro ’’ declares, in response to France's generous gesture in accepting. without discussion, the total hill, America proposed to F'rnneo slavery. The " Petit Jounral ” says certain Americans have forgotten the obligations of the alliance and friendship. The Communist newspaper " Humanite ” asks whether Anglo-Saxon financiers or the worker peasants of F’rance are to control I'rencli economic life. The " Homme Libre” expresses the opinion that the final result of the American proposals will he a United States mandate over F’rance.
