DISTRICT RACING COMMITTEE.

The District Racing Committee met at Greyniotit h yesterday afternoon. Riv-sent, Messrs T. E. Coates (in the chair), 11. F. Doogan. W. Gilbert A. Behan. G. IVrotti. and I). .1. Evans. In conloriniiy with the amended rules Air Coates, was elected permanent Chairman, and appointed District representative on the Dates Committee of the Racing Conference. It was resolved to strike a levy n! £|IIO on the toltdisiitor Racing (Tubs in the district to defray the management expenses of the District Committee. The amount will he apportioned according to the totalisiitor turnover last season.

A number ol applications for trainers and jockeys licenes were received. These were approved and recommended to the Racing Club Conference Incensing Committee, excepting one OreylilDillh applicant in regard to which a conditional license for lour months was recommended.
