On arrival at the Birmingham station they found they haul left their pa-sports at- Itonie and rushed hack in a taxicab to fetch them. When they returned to the station the train had gene. so they decided to make the journey Ly mail. On the way one of the wheels of the car came off. and when finally they arrived at Liverpool the Montclare was passing New Brighton. Her sister ship, the Montrose, however. managed to stop her with several blasts of the siren, and the party were able, to gc- aboard by a tender.
