A MAN KILLED. CREYMurm, Sept. 17. A motor lorry, conveying cigjtteei workmen, employed fiy Mr .1. Hart (Contractor for the Dobson Elect ri Power Station) was returning to drey mouth iron l . Dobson, at fit.2o a.m. Vos terday. and when rounding a tun near the Omntn Sawmilling Company’ mill pulled off the road to allow at approaching ear to pass, when tin lorry, striking a greasy patch o ground, due to tin* previous ia-avv rains, skidded and e;tpsi/zed. with tin result that three of the occupants re erivc l serious infill ies. nor-itatiic_ their removal to the Cloy River Hospital. other injuries), and Wdliam ( urrie. aged eighteen ■ facial and back in.iurdellt we-, largely attributable to a thick growth of gorse at the corner, which affects visibility. The motor lorrv escaped with slight damage, only the win 1 shield being broken. The lorry wax righted with the assistance of man-power, and resumed the iottrnev to Crevmout h.
The deceased. Calbana. is a mat t ied man with a wife and three children. F. MeCrath. is well-known in Creymouth. and lias a wile and lauulv residing in Tarapuht Street. The condition of the driver F. -MeCrath. is serious. ' urric's injuries are not regarded as serious.
