The Executive Committee met in the bounty Loum-il Chambers on i-’iiday, the lltli. inst.. when the President (Mr J. Dimmick) was in the chair, am! there ua.-, a moderate attendance. t lilt ward and inward correspondence was dealt with, ami the report and limim-ial statement for submission at the annual meeting was approved. Several matters of interest were discussed. The request from the South Island A. and P. Societies' Federation for a list of names for inclusion in the olii' ial list ni Show Judges was considered. and in particular the names of Junior Judges. It was considered desirable that young men in the district should he encouraged by judging competitions, ami demonstrations at our Shows and thus given the opportunity of -pmlifyiug as Judges. If "its apparent from the i-orrespon-dem-e that the (-'eder.it ion Committee were giving this subject very earnest attention. The whole matter was referred to the annual meeting. Subsequently the annual meeting lapsed for want of a quorum, and it was decided to hold same on Friday next at 11 a.m. al the County Chambers.
