Members thought that as special days were granted in the larger centres to entertain visitors from overseas, and as the club would go to the extra expense to make the meeting worthy of the honoured invasion, the club would, on account ol the heavy taxation and extra expense incurred, iind a dillieiilty in linaneing the jubilee day successfully unless a special day’s racing were granted.
