BOWLING.
The committee of the Christchurch Howling Centre set up to consider the ipiestion of howl-testing and the appliances owned by the Centre, reported that the present lathe was obsolete and recommended that a motored lathe complete with the necessary chucks be procured and the old lathe sold ; also that the iron inclined track lie retained: that the testing apparatus lie properly housed: that the tester he on the testing green one or more days each week, and that the chilis he notified accordingly; that the apparatus ho permanently installed on a centrally-situated, green easy of access to all clubs; that the appointment of a fester he lelt (or the Centre to decide, and that the position lie advertised and that the charge for howl testing he .Is per set. and for alterations as per arrangement. It was decided that the position of tester he advertised and that the Centre make the appointment at its next meeting.
