Nod. aged 20. the son of a, wealthy New York lawyer, has confessed to tho kidnapping and murder ot Mary Daly, the step-daughter of .Mr Bower. Jlo id so confesses to the murder of Pierce, the coloured taxi driver, whose car Noel used. Nod admits wounding John Sander, who pursued Noel. His confession followed the idenditication of Noe! by Saudee in the hospital. Noel, who previously stated ho hud merely kidnapped the girl for the purpo-e of demanding £BOO ransom, ia u, former student of a military college. He had been in an asylum. Both bodies were recovered.
