Hobart. The Karamu, bound trom St radian to Hobart with a cargo of calcines leaking. The vessel has no steam and is drifting. The Kekeraugu bound from Port pine to Hobart picked up the Karamu and put a tow lino aboard. Baler the lino carried away and then the Kckerangu’s engines broke down and she 1 - helpless. After drifting for seme time she is now anchoring. The Karnmu’s engine-room is Hooded and she lias no wireless. The Kekeraugu wireless is working badly. The steamers Kanna and Bar a ,-ah left Hobart late lasi nigbt. and are going at full sliced to the scene ol the mishap. The position of the Karamu with a crow of twenty-five is regarded as serious. It is thought in some quarters that her heavy dead cargo caused her to strain and open her seams. Both vessels lost one anchor. The weather is improving.
